Registration is now open for the Gruppo Bossoni Brescia Art Marathon 2025
The Gruppo Bossoni Brescia Art Marathon will take place on Sunday 9 March 2025, starting and finishing in the historic centre
Three competitive distances: marathon, half marathon and 10 km.
Also on the program are a non-competitive 10 km and “family walking”
The special dedication: BAM 2025 will be held in memory of Walter Bassi.
BRESCIA – Who wins a marathon doesn’t change. The wait is not disappointed and the Gruppo Bossoni Brescia Art Marathon will return in 2025 with its strong personality. Of those sides of her character that have seen her grow in numbers and authority in the world of Italian running and beyond. The first confirmation comes from the date: Sunday 9 March 2025. As per tradition, it will once again be the event signed by the ASD Rosa Running Team, now in its 23rd edition, to officially open the spring 42 km season.
THE COMPETITIVE DISTANCES – One of the strengths of the Brescia event has always been that of being able to get everyone to run: from those who prefer long distances to those who want to restart the engine, after the winter break, over a smaller number of kilometres, but still more than enough to get the adrenaline flowing again. 2025 will obviously be no exception. The marathon (42.195 km), the half marathon (21.097 km) and the BCC BRESCIA 10k (10 km) will therefore be run on Sunday 9 March.
Registrations open, with the note: «We have decided not to increase the cost of the bib – declares Loretta Pagliarini of the organizing team –, a choice that we all agree with. Our priority has always been the runner.”
DEPARTURE AND ARRIVAL IN THE HEART OF THE CITY – Participants in the BAM 2025 will still be able to enjoy a triumphal arrival, in the historic Piazza Loggia, symbol of the city. Those registered for the marathon and half marathon will run the first kilometers in the historic center and then continue to discover the different faces of the Lioness of Italy: the green one, along the cycle paths, and the industrial one, but no less exciting. They will encounter, among others, the 1000 Miglia Museum, the Roman remains of the Capitolium, the Broletto arch, from which you will enter the historic center, Piazza Paolo VI with the Duomo Nuovo and the Duomo Vecchio. The route of the BCC BRESCIA 10k is entirely designed on the streets of the city.
Different distances and routes, but with a common denominator: speed, to achieve a new personal best.
WALTER BASSI MEMORIAL – Doctor Gabriele Rosa, president of the ASD Rosa Running Team, had already announced it, now the official announcement has arrived: the BAM 2025 will be run in memory of Walter Bassi, who died prematurely on 24 March this year following a tragic accident during an excursion in its mountains.
Nato a Esine (BS), in Valle Camonica, è stato il punto di riferimento per il mondo della corsa sul territorio, ha promosso e organizzato diversi e importanti iniziative sportive. Il suo nome è legato soprattutto alla famosa mezza maratona “Io21zero97”, di cui è stato ideatore e stimato organizzatore. È stato presidente della società sportiva Corrintime e ha dedicato con passione la sua esperienza e professionalità ai giovani atleti, che negli ultimi anni hanno ottenuto risultati di rilievo.
Prima di far correre gli altri si era tolto diverse soddisfazioni come maratoneta: «È cresciuto con noi – racconta il dottor Rosa –, è impossibile accettare che non ci sia più. Al di là delle sue doti tecniche prima come atleta poi come allenatore e organizzatore, Walter colpiva per la sua disponibilità e la sua allegria. Il suo spirito vivrà sempre con noi e il sorriso di ogni runner che taglierà il traguardo della prossima edizione della BAM sarà anche suo».
SPORTLAND EASY RUN 10K AND FAMILY WALKING – The two recreational-motor events will also return, which make everyone run and walk, but above all have fun. They are opportunities to get together, smile and party:
– the SPORTLAND Easy Run 10k, which will take place on the same route as the competitive 10km;
– Family Walking, 5 km in the historic center of Brescia. By registering for this event you will contribute to raising funds for a project of one of the three associations involved in the event, AIL, AVIS and ADMO.
TOMORROW RUNNERS, THE FUTURE IS HERE – A real show, which gives joy to the little runners and emotions to those who watch it: the Tomorrow Runners is another flagship of the BAM: a recreational-motor race, it is dedicated to school pupils classes IV and V of the city’s primary schools. And as per tradition, the 2025 edition will officially open on Saturday 8 March in Campo Marte.
REGISTRATION OPEN – From 1 October it will be possible to register online, on the official website of the event – www.bresciamarathon.it – for the three competitive distances: marathon, half marathon and 10k at an introductory rate.
BAM, THE PINKEST MARATHON THERE IS – Building on last year’s success, the initiative reserved for marathon runners is being revived: all women will be able to register for the 42 km at the fixed cost of 40 euros until the end.
